Frequently asked questions about AleaMatrix

AleaMatrix is a map of every possible lottery tip. Every conceivable number combination is assigned a fixed, calculated storage-slot number, and with it its own spot on a vast surface. History is laid on top: every combination ever drawn colours in its area. This makes it visible just how large the space of all possibilities really is — and how much of it has never been drawn. Your own tip gets its own fixed, unmistakable spot in it, one you can always find again.

Since 09/2026 “My tips” carries a balance card over all tips in the evaluation store. It compares every tip with the draws that count for it: a one-off tip only with the draw on its date, a standing tip with all draws from its start, a tip without a date like a standing tip since the beginning. That is the view “by tip date” — your own balance, it judges you. Two further views answer other questions: “period filter” checks all number rows against the draws of the period set in the Draws menu, “had I always played it” against the whole history — both judge the numbers, not you, and the card states which question it is answering. Shown are hits per rank, the closest approach, the most loyal number, your territory on the map and the number sum, i.e. the total of a tip’s numbers (“ZS”). A system ticket counts as one tip with its best rank per draw. The free version evaluates three years, Premium the whole history.

Every tip and every draw has a fixed slot on the map. The distance is the number of slots between the two — a direct hit has distance 0. In the balance card, “Pairs” opens a table: two lines per hit, above your tip with date, correct numbers, slot and distance, below the draw. Clicking a pair makes both quadrants blink, draws a line between them and opens a window with the tip, the draws it was checked against, the draw before and after, the distance and a perspective: how close chance would have come on average with that many draws, and whether your distance is closer or farther. The distance is a measure on the map, not a prize rank — being next door wins nothing, but shows how the map is built.

Tips you do not want to evaluate right now you park in batches with a name of their own — the series of an old year, say. Parked tips appear neither in the balance nor on the map, but they are not deleted; you bring them back one by one, per batch or all at once. If a parked tip is released to a play group or the public map, AleaMatrix asks when parking whether it should stay visible there, and when bringing it back whether it is released again.

No. Lotto is pure gambling: every draw is random and independent of every previous one. No pattern in past draws changes the probability of the next one. AleaMatrix shows what has been — and makes the scale graspable. It does not say what will come.

For anyone who plays the lottery and wants to understand what they are getting into, and for people who enjoy numbers, combinatorics and data visualisation. Teachers use the map to make probabilities tangible: at a glance it makes clear how vast the space of all possibilities is — and every single tip gets its own fixed spot within it.

No. AleaMatrix does not accept any wagers, does not broker tips, and is not affiliated with any lottery operator. It is purely a display and analysis tool. Anyone wishing to play does so exclusively with the respective lottery or a licensed retailer.

No. Using it requires no formulas: enter numbers, pick a time range, look at the colours. The combinatorics run in the background. Anyone who wants to dig deeper will find the exact calculation behind each slot in the quadrant details.

No. AleaMatrix runs entirely in the browser, without installation and without an app store. A current browser on desktop, tablet or phone is enough; the 3D view additionally needs WebGL, which every mainstream browser of the last few years supports.

Every possible number combination is assigned exactly one number through a combinatorial procedure — from 1 up to the total number of tips. The mapping is unique and reversible: the tip yields the number, and the number yields the same tip again. Nothing about it is random or stored; it is recalculated every time.

8,145,060. For 6 out of 49 it is 13,983,816, or 139,838,160 with the superzahl. EuroMillions and EuroJackpot with 5 out of 50 plus 2 supplementary numbers likewise reach 139,838,160 possibilities. Exactly these numbers make up the surface of the map.

Because a single storage slot on the screen would be smaller than a pixel. The slots are numbered row by row across the full width; a grid of quadrants is laid over that, each grouping a block of neighbouring slots into one visible field. How many slots one quadrant in the 2D universe bundles depends on the size of the window, from a few hundred to many thousand. A one-minute animation shows it step by step: How the map is built.

Because a single tip is tiny — and that is exactly what makes the scale graspable. With 8.1 million possibilities, a single tip occupies one millionth of the image. That is why every tip you look up gets its own marker that makes it instantly visible and unambiguous to find.

The colour of a quadrant stands for its hit count: how many draws in the selected time range fell into that block. The base tone marks areas into which no draw has ever fallen; from there the scale runs light to dark, with the maximum in red. All colours can be freely adjusted in the colour menu.

No. The number follows from the combination itself and from the lottery system, not from a database. The same tip in the same system has the same storage-slot number today, tomorrow and in ten years — and on a different device too.

Six areas: Time range narrows the draws under consideration. Check searches for tips and storage slots. Generate produces number suggestions. Analyse shows distributions, frequencies and the hit progression. Notes manages your own tips. My lottery world exports them. On top of that come the 3D matrix and second-window mode.

In the Check area, enter the six numbers. AleaMatrix computes the storage-slot number, jumps to that spot on the map and lists the draw dates on which exactly this combination came up. Usually it turns out that your combination is unique — it has never been drawn in the entire history of its lottery, like the vast majority of combinations. All the more, it is your very own spot on the map.

It generates number combinations according to conditions you set — for example, only slots into which no draw has ever fallen, or a minimum distance from previously drawn tips. This is a selection filter, not a winning strategy: every combination generated has exactly the same winning probability as any other.

It determines which draws colour the heatmap — last draw, week, month, year or a free date range. This lets you compare how the picture fills up over the years. For Austria Lotto 6/45 there is additionally the combinable Jackpot switch.

It shows only those draws in which, after one or more rounds without a six-number match, a six-number match fell again — that is, the end of a jackpot run. For Austria Lotto 6/45 that comes to around 958 draws since 1986. The switch can be combined with any time range. Only Austria publishes the winner count per draw needed for this.

How many quadrants have no hit, one, two or more. The picture is similar across all systems: by far the largest part of the area is still untouched, and multiple hits are rare — exactly what would be expected from random scatter. This makes it easy to see at a glance how much room every new draw still has ahead of it.

Yes, in the Notes area. Without an account the tips live only in the browser of the device. With a free account there are up to 10 saved tips; with Premium unlimited tips, additionally synchronised across all devices.

Yes. The My lottery world area copies tips to the clipboard, saves them as a file or generates a PDF. Premium adds a full backup as a JSON file that can be re-imported at any time.

It shows which combinations already drawn lie closest to a tip on the map, and how big the distance is in storage slots. Proximity on the map means similar numbers — it says nothing about the winning chance. Proximity search is part of Premium.

The pattern search finds storage-slot numbers with a striking digit shape: round numbers with several trailing zeros, multiples of a number, repeated digits like 111 or 5555, palindromes like 12321, ascending and descending sequences and alternating patterns. You pick categories and a range, start the search and get the hits as a list. From there you can select them, add them to favourites, show them on the 2D universe or fly them as a route through the 3D matrix and the landscape (2D→3D). It is a tool for curiosity: a "pretty" storage-slot number is exactly as likely as any other and does not change the winning chance.

Yes. Right next to the number fields of the tip search there is a colour dot that lets you set the hit colour of the number search freely. It helps when the default is hard to see on the chosen background. The colour is tied to the same palette as the colour menu, so the main window and the second window stay consistent.

A permanent history of the tips you have actually played — deliberately separate from favourites, which are only a shortlist. You add tips in the My lottery world area via “Add to played tips”; they are then stored in your account and stay there even if you switch devices. The history can be flown as a route through the 3D matrix and 2D→3D. AleaMatrix does not offer any gambling itself: the history is your own record, not a betting slip and not a wager. Since 09/2026 the list can be filtered — by private, by play group or by public — and shown from that same selection on the 2D map, in the 3D matrix or in 2D→3D.

It compares two groups of dates on the map. You pick two filters based on the draw date — for example weekday, month, season, quarter, even and odd years, or the star sign of the draw day. Quadrants matched only by filter A blink in colour A, quadrants matched only by filter B blink in colour B, and quadrants matched by both stay steady. That makes the difference between two periods visible at a glance. It is a way of showing the past — it changes nothing about the probability of future draws.

After every draw it compares your saved tips with the numbers drawn — by itself, without you clicking anything. The next time you open the page, a slim band appears above the map: when you were last here and how many draws have taken place since. If there is nothing to report, nothing appears. One click opens the overview: the drawn numbers as lottery balls, below them your tips with matches highlighted, each with its storage slot number — the one for the draw and the one for your tip, side by side. If a tip reaches a prize tier, the band changes colour. The watcher tells you what happened; it never tells you what is coming, and it names no amounts — odds and payouts are the lottery’s business.

Under “My lottery world” → “Add tips”, in two ways. By hand: the form has exactly as many fields as the system set above has numbers — six for Austria 6/45, five plus two for EuroJackpot. The system is not chosen there; there is only one place for that, the system selector at the top. From a file: TXT or CSV, one line per tip, the date before or after it. Every line is checked separately and objected to in plain words — “47 is greater than 45”, “duplicate number”, “5 numbers instead of 6”. If the file does not match the system at all, the import is refused rather than bent into shape, and the switch to the detected system is offered. Where a date such as 03/04/2019 could mean day or month first, it counts as an error and not as a guess — otherwise the tip would sit in the wrong draw. If a line carries no date at all, it is not taken over silently: AleaMatrix asks once for the whole file whether these are numbers you have played since a certain day — they then become standing tips — or whether the date is unknown. Until you answer, adding stays locked. Before anything is added, a window opens with EVERY line — the valid ones, the faulty ones and the duplicates, each with its finding and a tick box. Everything that can be added is ticked; untick what you do not want. Numbers and date can be edited right there: “47 is greater than 45” is usually a typo, and correcting it here is quicker than changing the file and reading it in again. After every change the line is checked afresh. If the date is missing entirely, the system can assign one — you say WHICH tip carries a given date, the first or the last, and from there it counts forward or backward through the real draw dates. At the end the cleaned file is there to download: you do the checking work once, not on every visit. Each tip is entered as “played” or “for testing” and as a one-off combination or a standing tip — the draw watcher reports only the played ones. Before entering you also choose what the tips are meant for: private, a play group or the other AleaMatrix users’ map.

A system ticket is an official product of the lottery companies: you tick more numbers than usual, and every combination of them is played — on a 6/45 lottery, every set of six. System 9 is 84 combinations, System 12 is 924, and the largest system on offer, System 15 (Belgium), is 5,005. Under “My lottery world” → “Add tips” there is a second tab for it, with exactly the sizes the respective lottery sells (as of 09/2026, from the official system plans): Austria, Germany, Hungary and Poland System 7 to 12, Spain 7 to 11, Finland 8 to 11, Belgium and Romania 7 to 15. The UK, Ireland and the Netherlands offer no full systems — there the tab is absent, rather than evaluating something you cannot hand in. Bank-number systems, partial systems and systems with bonus numbers (EuroJackpot, EuroMillions) are not included. What gets stored is a single object made of your ticked numbers, not 84 rows; AleaMatrix computes the combinations on demand in milliseconds. And then comes what nobody else can show: where that ticket lies in the universe. A System 9 on Austria 6/45 scatters across roughly 64 per cent of all storage slots, spread over dozens of quadrants. It is not a cloud, it is islands — only the siblings that share a number lie close together, and those nests then sit hundreds of thousands of slots apart. In the draw watcher the ticket appears as one line with an overall result: “System 9 · 84 combinations · best: 4 correct (2×)”.

A play group is a closed round — the family or a circle of friends, for instance. The founder invites via the customer number, and every invitee has to accept explicitly; there is no link that adds anyone automatically. The group holds a roster with name, role and share, plus the tips you play for that round. The share is a note about your agreement: AleaMatrix does not handle money and settles no payments. To show your tips to the other members you turn on a switch of its own — without it nobody sees anything.

Every tip belongs either to you alone, to a play group, or to the other AleaMatrix users’ map. If it is set to “Public” and you have also switched on “My tips on the other AleaMatrix users’ map”, it appears to other signed-in users as a dot in the universe — without your name, without an ID and without a date. Nothing next to the dot leads back to you. Both can be revoked at any time; the dot then disappears at once.

The same data as a cube instead of a surface. All storage slots are distributed across a spatial grid of spheres; each sphere bundles 1,000 slots and colours itself according to its hit count. You can rotate, zoom, fly in and enlarge individual areas in a mini cube.

Yes, that is deliberately how it is built: 3D is a way of depicting 2D. Both views use the same data source, the same time range and the same colours. Only the bundling differs: in 3D every sphere bundles a fixed 1,000 slots. In 2D the number of slots per quadrant depends on the size of the window, from a few hundred to many thousand, which is why the hit counts under the same filter can differ.

2D→3D shows the same drawing data as a walkable landscape (2D→3D): each hit becomes a cube, identical storage slots stack up in chronological order into towers — the oldest hit at the bottom, the newest on top. Frequently hit areas thus grow into real mountains. You can fly the hit sequence in drawing order, orbit the landscape (2D→3D) on a fly-around or draw your own path and fly along it. 2D→3D runs on desktop with a graphics card only; the free version offers Austria 6/45, Premium unlocks all 19 systems.

A camera flight that traces the hits in chronological order: from the oldest draw to the most recent. Optionally through all draws, through your own saved tips or through all jackpot draws. The route makes visible how far apart the draws lie in space.

Second-window mode opens an independent window that you can drag onto a second screen. It shows the map including the heatmap and follows every filter of the main window live. The mode is part of Premium.

A browser with WebGL — standard in every mainstream browser of the last few years. On older devices with a weak graphics unit the display runs more slowly; the 2D map continues to work independently of this.

In the navigation bar of the 3D matrix there is a slider for the mouse sensitivity from 20 to 200 percent. It determines how strongly rotating, panning and zooming react to the mouse. Move it left for jumpy control, right for finer work. The setting is remembered in the browser and still applies on your next visit.

From the public archives and interfaces of the respective lotteries. A dedicated data mirror fetches them daily, checks them for duplicates and makes them available to the app. AleaMatrix is independent throughout and is not affiliated with any lottery operator.

The sync runs once a day in the early morning hours. A draw therefore appears at the latest the following day. If a number differs from the official announcement, the lottery's publication always governs — not the display in AleaMatrix.

As far as the respective lottery publishes its results. Austria 6/45 reaches back to 1986 and covers more than 3,600 draws; Hungary starts in 1988, Belgium in 1992. For some systems the source only supplies the recent past, and the archive continues to grow from the point of inclusion onwards.

Because no freely accessible, reliable draw history is available for Swiss Lotto 6/42. Better one system fewer than one with placeholder data: a heatmap of fake draws would look real but would be worthless. As soon as a solid source turns up, the system will be added.

They are part of the combination and therefore part of the storage-slot number. Germany 6/49 with the superzahl therefore has 139,838,160 slots instead of 13,983,816. For systems with a bonus number both can be viewed separately: once without, once with.

The basic version is permanently free and without a time limit. Premium costs €9.90 per month or €89.90 per year, which works out to €7.49 per month. Every new account starts with 30 days of Premium free, without payment details.

When you create a free account the trial period starts automatically. For 30 days all Premium functions are open. No payment details are requested, and after expiry nothing is charged — the account quietly drops back to the free tier.

Yes. The monthly subscription can be cancelled monthly, the annual subscription at the end of the paid term. After cancellation Premium stays active until the end of the paid period, after which the free tier automatically takes over again. Saved tips are not lost in the process.

Because every system means its own, daily-maintained data base. Free accounts therefore pick one primary system and are tied to it for 30 days; after that a switch is possible again. Without an account switching is free, but nothing can be saved permanently.

Payment goes through Stripe. Credit card data is entered exclusively there and is never stored or seen by AleaMatrix. Stripe then provides the invoice.

Not for browsing. The map, heatmap, tip search and 3D matrix work without signing in; saved tips then live only locally in the browser. An account is needed by anyone who wants to sync tips across devices or try Premium.

Yes, at any time and on your own — in the Account area. Deletion removes access data, saved tips and settings. Beforehand all saved data can be exported to a file. A running subscription should be cancelled first.

No. No cookies are set, neither our own nor third-party, and there is no advertising tracking. That is why no cookie banner appears. Settings and locally saved tips live in the browser's local storage and do not leave the device.

Without an account, only locally in the browser: chosen system, colours, window positions and saved tips. With an account, e-mail address, subscription status and the synchronised tips and palettes are added. Actions in the app are recorded for troubleshooting in a dedicated event log, with a shortened IP and a retention period of 90 days.

Not for advertising purposes and not for sale. Only service providers that are necessary for operation are integrated: Supabase for accounts and data storage, Stripe for payments, Brevo for system e-mails. Fonts and program libraries are loaded from our own server; draw data comes from the public data mirror. Details are in the privacy notice.

Yes, in part. Texts, program code and graphics were created with the support of AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT; the wordmark, the picture mark, the favicon and the preview graphic for shared links were generated with image AI and post-processed. Every publication is reviewed by the operator before release — editorial and technical responsibility rests with a human. There is no chatbot or voice assistant: anyone who writes via the contact form or by e-mail corresponds with the operator personally.

This also satisfies the transparency obligations under Art. 50 of the European AI Act (in force since 2 August 2026). Explained in detail in the privacy notice, section 17.

No. Inputs in the app and messages from the contact form are neither passed on to AI providers nor used to train AI models. The results from the tip generator and the oracle are produced by our own combinatorial procedures in the browser, not by an AI call.

No. There are no wagers, no winnings, no payouts and no brokering of gaming contracts. AleaMatrix is an information and visualisation tool and is not subject to any gambling licence, because it does not run any gambling.

No, and that cannot be changed by any selection: every combination has the same probability. What can be influenced is the number of co-winners — many people tip birthdays, that is, numbers up to 31. Conspicuously unpopular combinations do not change whether you win, only how many people you might share with.

Get help, and early. In Germany the Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung offers free and anonymous counselling on 0800 1 372 700. In Austria the Spielsuchthilfe helps. Lotto is entertainment with a negative expected value: over time you spend more than comes back. Anyone staking more than they can afford to lose should stop.
